| Over forty years later, I can still remember my elderly grandmother telling me that "Life is but a journey and the journey is the reward." Now that I am grown up and have kids of my own, how I wish that I had a record of my grandmother's stories from when I used to sit on her lap and she would tell me about the good ole days and how simple life used to be. | |
| As the proud father of two and a community leader, I know that everyone has their own story to tell. Each story helps us celebrate our own uniqueness and our relationship to our community. I am so pleased to be a sponsor of the Solana Beach Legacies Project during this 20th Anniversary Celebration of our city's incorporation. | |
| The Legacies Project is providing a number benefits for our special community. First, it is building bridges between youths with seniors to learn to communicate and share each others' life experiences. Second, we are helping preserve our community character by visually documenting stories of our residents. Third, we are focusing on the diverse nature of our community and how diversity helps build strength and character. Finally, we are preparing a record of yesterday and today for those that will follow us in the future. | |
